Fire-Retardant Lumber

Pyro-Guard® is processed for use above the ground. Tests have shown that when this lumber is used, the flame spread is slower and smoke developing is less dense. The structure also retains its strength longer during a fire. This also has some resistance to decay and termites when used above ground.

Pyro-Guard fire retardant lumber and plywood are UL listed and have been issued an ESR confirming Code Compliance with the Building Codes.
